Law Promo Launches Website for Parker Milliken Clark O’Hara Samuelian, APC., who have been a mainstay in the Los Angeles legal world for over a century. We went with a minimal design, clean aesthetic, and emphasis on content for this project.
The landing page does not overwhelm the visitor with too many visual stimuli, meanwhile, leaves a profound assuring & affirming impression. The header features a logo celebrating the firms’ dedication to professionalism for over 100 years. A rectangle houses the traditional text that gives it a modern feel. A perfect representation of a firm with strong core values and an adaptive attitude. Links to the home page, an option to print the current page or email the firm sits in the top right corner above a search bar. Bold red navigation with white text has links to information on the firm, the attorneys, practice areas, and a secure contact form.
The slide show beneath the main navigation cycles through the imagery of landmarks in Los Angeles county from the sandy oasis of Santa Monica State Beach to the Skyscrapers of Downtown LA. A brief synopsis of the firms’ history, its practice areas, and office location sit below the photos to make it clear to any visitor what Parker Milliken is about. The “Firm” page has a lengthy and detailed biography on the firm’s rich history, an element that not many firms in the LA Greater Region can boast. Rooted in tradition, you can learn more about this ambitious group on the “people” page, which utilizes a particularly elegant layout.
The attorneys are showcased uniformly, upon hover, a light grey box appears around each person’s photo. The attorney profiles themselves are sharp, with content organized with aesthetics and practicality in mind. Each attorney’s practice areas are listed and function as links to the page for that particular practice area. On the practice area page, all the attorneys who specialize in that field are listed on the left side.
On a mobile device, this site shines. The logo is showcased with standard collapsing navigation that opens from the right site. It is conducive to scrolling, tapping, pulling, and pinching, the essential movements used to navigate a site on a smartphone. Once on an individual attorney’s profile, a call-to-action appears above their photo which easily allows the user to view the rest of the attorneys without having to go back to the main navigation. Overall, this provides for a rich user experience while doing the firm’s history justice.
