Since the start of the new year, the Law Promo design team have been working on creating new attorney website design for our clients and design portfolio. Our most recent design is for an estate planning law firm. In the following blog post, we’ve detailed our process from start to finish. The attorney web design featured above is a responsive website design. Responsive and mobile friendly websites are quickly becoming the norm and in designing these types of website, it’s important to make sure that the design translates well on different devices. Unlike our traditional layouts, this law firm web design features a full-width layout and focuses more on visuals and calls to action.
Since this design is for an estate planning law firm, our team focused on calming colors and images. The first thing you’ll notice from this design is the centered image loop which features peaceful images related to estate planning. The images blend well with the color scheme and help bring attention to our client’s call to action which is placed over the images in a transparent green strip.
We’ve added a responsive sticky menu at the very top of the website which will stay at the top of the page as visitors scroll down the website. The content is presented in short bite size pieces with a button for more information that way visitors will be able to gather a brief summary of the content with the option to read more if they’re interested. Practice areas have been listed at the very bottom with our client’s message to their visitors to the right side. Our goal for this website design was to drive traffic towards certain pages of the website. By focusing on short form content, our client and team will be able to deduce which content drives the most traffic and work on that in order to improve search engine ranking when the site is launched.
The footer of the website features client information and social media icons for the curious visitor. Since this law firm website design is responsive, this website will adapt to the viewing device being used. On mobile phones, this means the content of the website will display itself in a scrolling format allowing visitors easy access to information without having to zoom in or zoom out.
You can expect more responsive law firm websites to come as we continue to experiment and add to our growing design portfolio. You can view our latest attorney website designs here.
