Lawyer & Law Firm Network News

Devendra (David) Mishra, CEO, MND Resources; John Quinn, Exec VP, Warner Home Entertainment; my Co-Host, Roger Clark, Clark & Goldberg; and Deborah Wagnon, Portia Entertainment Group.

The theme of our show echoes and expands upon the findings of the recent Entertainment Supply Chain's Academy convention, which brought together some of the entertainment's foremost leaders to discuss how to better meet the needs of both retailers and manufacturers, so that they are best able to maximize productivity and efficiency in the industry.

David, John, Roger, and Deborah each address how to build the most efficient supply chain, so that the entertainment industry can extend the lifespan and maximize profits from packaged media products.

David gives us a general overview of the findings of the how the entertainment industry is changing, especially emphasizing that both the studios and the retailers realize that the Customer is now King. The Customer now dictates the how, when, and where of products.

He also gives us another example of the "revolution at retail", "RFID".. What it is, and Why it's important to businesses and you.

John brings us up-to-date on all the latest research trends in the home entertainment market and what the industry is doing to meet those demands. He also discusses how studios now approach their supply chain management relationships with retailers, and why that's rapidly changing.

Being the expert Intellectual Property that he is, Roger speaks about protecting those "Intellectual Property" rights and what legal strategies studios are using to protect their interests, as well as how the recent Supreme Court cases of Grokster and Napster apply.

John discusses how the studios are protecting their intellectual property through the development of new technologies to pre-empt counterfeiting.

The deal maker herself, Deborah Wagnon, relates some real factual examples of how she and her law firm can help you structure the best relationships with retailers, so listen in and enjoy these "insiders" real-life experiences to understand how the entertainment world is changing and The consumer is now King.
